Press Release Summary: Comeback Actors Gather for a Portland Independent Film
Press Release Body: Portland, OR: What do Forrest Gump, Braveheart and GoodFellas have in common? Portland, Oregon. A Scottish brogue, a Southern twang and a Brooklyn 'yo' will be visiting the Pacific Northwest this summer to film an epic independent World War Two film created by Portland Independent Film, Inc.
Actors Michael Conner Humphreys, Christopher Serrone and James Robinson all had parts of a lifetime many years ago, playing the younger counterparts of Tom Hanks, Mel Gibson and Ray Liotta in the above Oscar-winning films.
Now, in Portland, Oregon, these young actors have returned to the acting business after pursuing other interests and careers to star in a World War Two film, The Pathfinders: In the Company of Strangers. The film tells of the harrowing mission of a group of 82nd Airborne Pathfinders - a volunteer unit of American paratroopers whose mission was to land in the heart of enemy territory and survive long enough to direct the coming airborne invasion of Normandy. Portland Independent Film, Inc. (PIF) is producing "The Pathfinders: In the Company of Strangers."
According to Pathfinders director Curt Sindelar, "I consider it a privilege to work with these gentlemen. I wanted actors who were charismatic, talented and experienced. Michael, Christopher and James all fit the bill. As an added bonus, they are all real genuine people, great guys to work with and that was very important to us."
Michael Conner Humphreys (Forrest Gump) will be playing the part of Eddie Livingston, one of the original Pathfinders. Humphreys' enlistment in the U.S. Army ended this past June 4 and he will be headed to Portland to begin filming. He has just wrapped up a tour in the Middle East as part of a tank division.
Christopher Serrone (Henry Hill) and James Robinson (William Wallace) will be arriving in Portland as well to shoot their parts in Pathfinders.
"This is a very exciting time for Portland Independent Film. We are jazzed about our cast, we are shooting in Newberg and other beautiful Oregon spots, and we already have a distributor," said Sindelar, "We want to make this one of the best films shot in Oregon and provide a thoroughly enjoyable movie experience."
